our minds are one is a three-dimensional interpretation of the Haudenosaunee Celestial Dome. The title originates from the words of the Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address. The images on the discs of the installation are of my world at the time: the sidewalk between home and studio, the forest outside the school where I teach, the treetops at a gallery where I was exhibiting and the sky. The images are arranged in tiered sections, one on top of the next. This installation was created for the exhibition Reading the Talk, co-curated by Rachelle Dickenson and Lisa Myers; produced by the Robert McLaughlin Gallery with gallery director, Linda Jansma.

our minds are one  est une interprétation du dôme céleste des Haudenosaunee. Le titre provient des mots qui sont prononcés lors de l’Adresse des remerciements des Haudenosaunee. Les images proviennent de mon expérience quotidien au moment que je faisais la production de cette oeuvre: le trottoir en route vers mon atelier; la forêt qui côtoie l'institution où j'enseigne, le sommet des arbres à l'extérieur d'une galerie où j'exposait; et le ciel. Elles sont ordonnées pour que chaque section regroupant une série d'images est posée par dessus l'autre. Cette oeuvre a été produite pour l'exposition Reading the Talk, co-commissaires Lisa Myers et Rachelle Dickenson; le projet d'exposition a été réalisée avec the Robert McLaughlin Gallery avec la directrice Linda Jansma.
